How to understand my Portfolio Insights?

Learn more about analysing your Portfolio with the Insights page

*Stock trading: countries: UK, France, Poland, Belgium, Portugal, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg

When you scroll down the Invest screen, you can see the Investments section. If you tap on “More details” here, a screen with insights into your portfolio performance will appear.

*The Investments section is only visible to you if you have already made your first investment in the app (i.e. if you haven’t made any investments yet, this section is not visible on your Invest screen). If more than one type of assets are available to you in our app, your Invest screen is divided into two tabs: Equities and Crypto. Keep in mind that the values you see in your Portfolio Insights are specific to the selected tab (i.e. in the Crypto tab you can see values relevant to your crypto investments only).

On the top of the screen you can see:

  • All-time = total performance of your investments made in the app (including the open and closed positions) since the creation of your account. This is calculated by dividing the total return of your investments by the initial price paid, excluding transaction costs.

  • Avg. hold time = average length of time you held your positions for (including the open and closed positions). It’s the average of the hold time for each position - the hold time for each position is counted from the time when you first invested in the asset, until you sell your whole position. For open positions, we consider the time from your first investment until today’s date.

Below, you can find the details about your investments divided into following sections:

Current investments

Shows the different values of your current holdings:

  • Portfolio value = total value of all the positions held in your portfolio at the moment.

  • Invested amount = total amount you invested in currently held positions, excluding the transaction costs.

  • Gain/Loss = gain or loss on your currently invested amount, excluding transaction costs.

  • Performance = market performance of your currently open investments. This is calculated by dividing the return on your investments by the initial price paid, excluding transaction costs.

Closed positions

Shows the different values of the investments you sold and no longer hold:

  • Value of sells = total sell value of your closed positions,

  • Value of buys = total invested amount (buy value) for your closed positions, excluding transaction costs,

  • Gain/Loss = gain or loss based on the difference between your invested amount on positions and the price you later sold them at, excluding transaction costs,

  • Performance = market performance of your closed investments. It’s calculated by dividing the total return of your investments by the initial price paid, excluding transaction costs.

*This section is not visible if you haven’t closed any of your positions yet (i.e. you only have open positions in the app).

All-time

Shows the values of your current and closed investments, as well as dividends:

  • Invested amount = total amount of money that you have invested in your entire lifetime in the app, excluding transaction costs,

  • Gain/Loss = gain or loss across both open and closed positions, excluding transaction costs,

  • Performance = market performance of investments you made in the app, including both open and closed investments. It’s calculated by dividing the total return of your investments by the initial price paid, excluding transaction costs.

*This section is not visible if you haven’t closed any of your positions yet (i.e. you only have open positions in the app).
