How to set up SEPA Direct Debit for clients onboarded before May 2025 on Shares Pro?

Everything you need to know about linking SEPA Direct Debit for clients onboarded before May 2025

Updated yesterday

*Available in France only

SEPA Direct Debit (SEPA DD) is now available as a payment method for all Wealth Managers’ clients — including those who were onboarded before this feature was released (01/05/2025).

Key Information

Clients onboarded prior to May 1, 2025 (or your SEPA DD opt-in date), can now access SEPA DD as a payment option. However, using SEPA DD is not mandatory for these clients, and they can continue to fund their investments using regular bank transfer.

Wealth Managers can manage and update a client’s payment method through the “Cash” section of the client profile. It is important to note that each account type has its own payment method:

  • Updating the payment method of a CTO account to SEPA Direct Debit will not automatically update the payment method of the PEA account.

  • And vice versa.

If a client, who was onboarded before 01/05/2025 or before the Wealth Manager opted-in for SEPA DD, wishes to use SEPA DD for both account types, each must be configured separately.
