How to report an abusive content / users and why should you do it.

Updated over 6 months ago

The safety of our members in the Shares app is our highest priority. Our team makes sure that all the content shared and posted within our app is aligned with our Community Guidelines, however, your help with spotting abusive content and users is extremely helpful for us 💪.

If you spot any content which is abusive or breaches our Community Guidelines in any other way (e.g. spamming, providing financial advice), you can easily report it directly in the app. If another user is sending you abusive or inappropriate messages, you can also report that user to our team.

Here’s how to do that:

Reporting a post:

  1. Tap on the three dots icon, in the upper right corner of the screen, next to the post you’d like to report:

  1. Select “Report Activity”:

  1. Select “Report” to confirm your choice, and that’s it - your report was sent to our team.

Reporting another user:

  1. Tap on the profile picture or name of the user you’d like to report (from the followers and following list in the Profile menu, or from the Social feed).

  2. Tap the three dots icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

  3. Choose “Report”.

  4. Select the reason for reporting the user from the pop-up list. Tap “Submit”, and that’s it - your report was sent to our team.

Our team reviews all reports and takes appropriate actions as soon as possible. Thank you for your help with ensuring that the Shares Community is a safe space for everyone!✨
